Cramdon Park

You can be stylish and casual at the same time!

I was in Miami again this weekend and I was able to visit the amazing Cramdon Park. They are setting up for the Hugh Sony Ericson Tennis Tournament and I can't wait to attend. It was BEYOND hot but I still looked stylish while trying to keep cool. Loved this casual look and the hat helped with the sun. Enjoy!

Restaurant of the Week : Green Bar Kitchen

Hello Everyone!

I am back for another " Restaurant of the Week". This week I went healthy since I was out with my brother who is a professional tennis player, I kind of had not choice lol. This is a place that I so I am excited to show you!! This week I visited, Green Bar Kitchen and Restaurant.

Green Bar is a 100% vegan restaurant.
Overall I loved their decor. It had a clean, vintage but modern look and I enjoyed the simplicity. Although, I ended up sitting outside on the patio. The patio was covered so there just not too much sun, but just enough.

Starters

Avocado Toast
This is my favorite dish by far from the lunch menu! I don't usually like raw avocado but the pink peppercorns gave it a sweetness that was perfect. It is served on Millet toast.

Entrees

Smokehouse Burger
This Burger was amazing! The catch is that it is not a real burger of course. This Pattie is made of brown rice, quinoa, chickpea, roasted vegetables, parsley, sunflower seeds, garlic and spice mix. It had the perfect pairing for a savory but light burger. The side of the day was coleslaw.
Spicy Asian Tacos
These were delicious! The tacos are GMO-free and the 'chicken' is really tofu. The part I loved was that it was so hard to tell. They tasted like authentic chicken tacos! The best part was the kick that scallions gave the spicy Asian sauce.

I hope you all enjoyed this week's restaurant! I give this place a A-
Stay tuned for the next "Restaurant of the Week"!

Restaurant of the Week: Yardbird Southern Table & Bar

Hey loves!

I know it has been while and I have been busy as ever but I am back! I am dancing full-time and working on the scene in Miami! It is really exciting and i'm looking to continue to grow and progress everyday! BUT, while I am doing that I have not forgotten my love for blogging and my passion for food. I am starting a new campaign post called: Restaurant of the Week. Every week I am going to select a winner out of all the places I dine to highlight. The criteria is : 1. Overall  Experience, 2. Food Quality and 3. Service.

I am a major foodie! I have a hospitality background and I love to eat out and experience different things. This past weekend I went to Yardbird Southern Table and Bar on Miami Beach. The restaurant is not far from the strip at all, but if you are in a rush its is about a 5 min cab ride from 14th and Ocean Dr. Are you ready for YardBird??!!

I loved the theme and decor of the restaurant. The photo above is of the menu, which were layers on a clipboards. So creative!  The theme was a combination of southern charm and chic character.  The home feeling of a southern backyard combined with the luxury of a city terrace. Very innovative!

Starters

Mama's Chicken Biscuits | Deviled Eggs

These starters were beyond phenomenal. I couldn't wait for the food to come after having these. The chicken biscuits had this amazing pepper jelly that had the perfect mix of sweet and savory. Jelly on biscuits are the ultimate southern condiment!
You could tell the biscuits were house made and warm and they didn't fall apart and crumble everywhere, just flawless! The biscuits came with house made pickles that were phenomenal. The contrast on your pallet of the pickles with the chicken biscuit make you feel like you were on your grandmothers porch in Georgia! The deviled eggs were delicious, different but good. The only difference between these deviled eggs and your southern grandmothers is the relish! They were missing that sweetness. No relish in the eggs, but still really great!

Entrees

Shrimp & Grits

This dish was excellent. The savory robust taste of the sauce under the grits was wholesome. The grits were Adulah South Caroline stone ground grits. They are different than southern white grits because they are more hearty. Adulah grits are produced from ground yellow corn. The gulf shrimp were cooked to perfection and the combination of spice with sweet and strong made it a winning dish!

Chicken' N Watermelon' N Waffles

And now, for the main dish! This dish is one of Yardbirds signature entrees. The sauces that came with it were perfect. There was honey hot sauce for the chicken and bourbon maple syrup for the waffles. The chicken was cooked perfect. It was an entire half a chicken! I loved how it was brined but it was not overly salty. They were perfect, not dry just great! You see that tent on the watermelon? They are chilled spiced watermelon, delicious!
This dish was simply SPOT ON!

Last but not least to end the morning brunch, Bloody Mary's! These delicious drinks were made with house made tomato juice, okra, celery and bacon!

I give this place a A+! Did I mention when I arrived there was over an hour wait? Yup, its that good! I hope you guys enjoyed! Comment if you did and make sure you catch the next 'Restaurant of the Week'
